Only install the ceiling hook vertically, e.g. into a ceiling. The ceiling hook is not developed for or tested towards horizontal installation, neither in beams nor walls.
This ceiling mounting kit can only be used in wooden ceilings or in the wooden beams in ceilings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MOUNTING KIT

Which mounting option you should purchase is based on what your needs are and where you plan on using your products. If you plan on traveling with your Moonboon products, we recommend you choose a doorframe clamp as this is very easy to mount anywhere. If you plan on using your product in the same place in your home and don't have a lot of space, we recommend the ceiling mounting kit. If you have more space available and might shift the place of your cradle or hammock in the house, we recommend you purchase a tripod stand.

 

The mounting kit is made for installation and use only in wooden ceilings or wooden ceiling beams. Please be aware that some ceilings may require a specific hook for safe mounting. Therefore, we always advise that you check with your local hardware store and get advice on which type of hook is best suited for mounting in your ceiling. Additionally, it is advised that you mount any weight in the ceiling in a structural beam to ensure that it is strong enough to support the weight of your baby hammock or cradle.

The kit is installed by simply drilling a hole into a structural support in the ceiling and placing the plug and hook safely into it, making sure it is stable and safe. Next, attach the strap to the hook by slipping it through the hook and then attaching your motor, spring, and hammock or cradle to it.

 

The length of the strap can easily be adjusted by placing the carabiner with the motor and baby hammock or cradle into one of the various six loops of the strap that coincides with your ideal mounting height.

 

Yes, the mounting kit is compatible with our cradle, baby hammock, and twin baby hammock.

Our mounting kit has been designed and tested by experts in Denmark. If used in accordance with the user manual, the mounting kit is safe to use.

 

When you purchase a mounting kit, you will receive a stainless steel ceiling hook, a plug for the ceiling from Fischer, and a mounting strap.

 

Before buying the mounting kit, it would be a good idea to have already identified the correct place in the ceiling that you would like to mount your baby hammock or cradle. Additionally, as certain tools, such as an electric drill, are needed, it is advisable to have them at home or available to you.

 

Before installing the hook and the mounting kit, please always make sure that the surface you wish to mount into is a flat vertical surface that is strong enough to support the weight that will be attached to it, to ensure that your cradle or baby hammock is safe to use.

 

Yes, as you are fastening the hook into the ceiling or, more specifically, a beam in the ceiling, you will need to drill a hole to fasten it securely.
